ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for the delivery of the relevant services by the team. To provide day-to-day management of the team, including coaching, workload prioritisation and review of work performed. To ensure that work is appropriately planned and allocated and monitored to ensure timely delivery.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Take full ownership of delivery of client services – demonstrate full understanding of the responsibilities and deliverables of the team and where/how these fit into the overall process.
- Ensure the management and delivery of services of appropriate quality in line with the agreed delivery timelines.
- Work closely and collaboratively with a muti-jurisdictional team to ensure all key deadlines are met
- Review of financial statements, which will include full bookkeeping review.
- Review of information in key systems, this could include transactions, valuations, bookkeeping, or accounting records to ensure accuracy of work completed.
- Preparation of financial statements for more complex entities within prescribed timeline.
- Review work performed by the team to ensure quality is maintained.
- Where required, provide coaching / support / additional training to team members to ensure they deliver work of appropriate quality on a timely basis.
- Escalate any issues with quality, delivery or required support on a timely basis.
- Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, all operational guidelines/polices/procedures/controls and to ensure team do the same.
- Attend and actively participate in client calls/meetings and to prepare relevant meeting material, where requested.
- Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
ESSENTAIL REQUIREMENTS
- Very good attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good numeracy.
- Good IT skills – working experience of Excel is essential.
- Experience of managing a projector working as part of a multi-jurisdictional team would be advantageous.
- Qualified Accountant with minimum of three years PQE.
- Previous experience with IFRS Accounting Standards.
