Platforming Cultural Conversations: Introducing Multiculture Together

For ‘The World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development’, JTC are spotlighting one of our new inclusion-focused colleague communities: Multiculture Together. The group is one of six colleague-led groups that focus on leading, supporting and inspiring discussions on various inclusion and wellbeing topics. Multiculture Together, led by our Private Capital Services Deputy Head of Caribbean, Naro Zimmerman, was set up to spread awareness and support the diverse range of cultural backgrounds we have at JTC through our colleagues within the business and the many clients we serve.

The group represents a significant step in JTC’s ongoing commitment to both internal and external inclusivity, recognising the importance of promoting cultural diversity and sharing educational resources to foster greater empathy and understanding in all that we do.

When discussing the group, it’s goals and purpose Naro highlighted:

“Multiculturalism is not only vital for our co-existence in society but forms the backbone of our business. At JTC, we are based across 40 offices, serving clients in 100 countries, working with colleagues and clients with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, values and faiths. Having an understanding and appreciation for the diverse cultures of our world helps us better support our stakeholders. Our Multiculture Together community has provided an excellent platform for colleagues to come together, discuss their experiences and educate one another about their varied backgrounds.

Our focus for the year is to push beyond the group to build awareness of the different cultures in our midst across the wider business. Through doing so, we will strive to build a more inclusive environment which works better for all our people.”

Naro’s approach to the community is multifaceted, understanding that the work we do as a firm goes beyond borders, cultures and communities and that, through fostering understanding and empathy, we can create a business that is more intentional about listening, learning and improving when working with others. In the group’s initial meetings so far this year, they’ve discussed networking opportunities with jurisdictional colleagues, experience sharing and external and internal speaker presentations highlighting the similarities we all share despite our differences.

We invite our industry partners and clients to connect with us and follow our journey as the group progresses toward its goals in 2026 and beyond.
