JTC Volunteering Month Celebrates Colleagues Giving Back to Communities

Key Takeaways

  • JTC Volunteering Month recognised colleagues across the global office network who are supporting causes close to their communities
  • More than 30 volunteering requests were approved across 14 locations, helping colleagues donate over 450 hours to charities and community organisations over the last 12 months

Earlier this year, JTC Volunteering Month celebrated colleagues across our global office network who gave their time, skills and expertise to support the causes that matter most to them.

From hospice care and youth development to marine rescue, breast cancer awareness and animal welfare, their stories show how individual action can create meaningful change.

This year’s campaign also highlighted the scale of that commitment. As part of the campaign, more than 30 volunteering requests were approved across 14 locations, supporting a multitude of charities around the world. Together with existing employee volunteering, this enabled colleagues to donate more than 450 hours to their chosen causes over the last 12 months.

Supporting communities through JTC Gives

JTC Gives helps turn individual commitment into collective action through volunteering support, fundraising contributions and matched donations.

Whether colleagues are volunteering personal time or raising funds for important initiatives, the programme helps extend their reach and amplify the difference they make.

By supporting the causes important to our people, JTC Gives helps create lasting value for local organisations and the communities they serve.

How our people are making a difference

Across JTC’s global office network, colleagues are supporting a wide range of charities and community organisations.

Their stories reflect the many ways our people give back, including:

  • providing comfort to hospice patients and their families
  • mentoring young people through local Scout groups
  • assisting marine search and rescue teams
  • raising awareness of breast cancer
  • caring for rescued animals awaiting adoption

While every story is different, they all show that even a small amount of time can have a lasting impact.

Celebrating our Volunteering Month prize draw winner

As part of JTC Volunteering Month, everyone who shared their volunteering story over the last 12 months was entered into a prize draw to recognise their commitment to giving back.

The winner received a boosted donation to their chosen charity, along with a wellness gift to recognise their efforts.

Victoria Wade from our Cayman office was selected as this year’s winner.

Victoria volunteers with the Cayman Islands Breast Cancer Foundation, supporting the charity’s mission to raise awareness, educate the community and provide care to those affected by breast cancer.

Throughout the year, she has given her time to some of the Foundation’s flagship initiatives. She has volunteered at the annual Light Up the Night walk, helping bring the community together in support of those affected by breast cancer and worked behind the scenes at the inspiring Beyond the Scar fashion show, which celebrates the courage and resilience of breast cancer survivors. Victoria also champions the Know Your Lemons campaign, helping raise awareness of the 12 signs of breast cancer and encouraging the importance of early detection within JTC and across the wider Cayman community.

JTC Volunteering Month is one of the ways we recognise and celebrate colleagues who dedicate their time, skills and expertise to the causes they care about. Each employee who shared their volunteering story was recognised with a donation to help amplify the positive impact their time is already making.

Responsible Business in Action

Supporting colleagues to give back is an important part of JTC’s commitment as a responsible business.

These collective efforts help build stronger, more resilient communities while reinforcing the values that shape our business.
