Staff at JTC succeeded in raising a total of over £24,000 for local charities across a number of the jurisdictions in which the company has a presence in.
As well as weekly dress down days in its offices around the world, collections were made in support of staff sporting efforts involving running, rowing and golfing. A range of fundraising activities including raffles, supermarket bag packing and cake sales were also held to raise money for local charities, all nominated by staff.
December was a particularly charitable month with employees donating one hour of their salary to support the Philippines Disaster Fund, which was then matched by the company. In addition to this sum raised by team JTC, the Group also made financial contributions to three international charities in lieu of sending out corporate Christmas cards.
The private client, corporate and fund services provider is active in 18 jurisdictions across Europe, the Americas and Asia and employs nearly 300 staff throughout the Group.
Nigel Le Quesne, JTC CEO and Chairman, said:
“JTC’s teams are always coming up with new ways to support local charities and international causes and their enthusiasm in organising such an array of fundraising activities last year is hugely impressive. We recognise the importance of giving back to local communities and, given our global footprint, we are in a really good position to pool our efforts and make a real difference in helping worthy causes. Already half way through 2014, we are maintaining this momentum and are looking to support our nominated charities in an increasingly dedicated and hands-on way.”
