Manager – Banking & Treasury

ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Manager – Banking & Treasury will support the expansion of JTC’s treasury services within Europe, focusing on growing client cash assets under management. The role will be pivotal in developing client relationships, driving cash management initiatives, and ensuring alignment with EU regulations. This opportunity is available in any office based in Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Amsterdam (The Netherlands) or Geneva (Switzerland).

The individual will be responsible for stakeholder engagement across internal teams, including fund and escrow teams, while managing banking relationships and supporting business development efforts to achieve the department’s target of increasing cash under management by over £1 billion.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Develop and manage relationships with corporate clients, fund teams, and escrow teams to identify treasury opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to increase client cash assets under management, aligning with the team’s strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including banking partners, to enhance JTC’s treasury solutions across Europe.
  • Act as a key point of contact for treasury-related queries, providing high-quality client service and strategic solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to EU financial regulations, working with compliance teams to align JTC’s treasury services with local regulatory frameworks.
  • Support the development of treasury policies and procedures, ensuring efficient account opening and onboarding processes.
  • Drive new business development by assisting with proposals, client presentations, and pitch preparation.
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to provide insights on the evolving banking and treasury landscape within Europe.
  • Collaborate with the broader treasury team to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensure risk management and compliance adherence in all treasury activities.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrable technical knowledge in corporate treasury, cash management, or financial services, ideally within fund or corporate services.
  • Strong knowledge of EU banking regulations and the ability to work closely with regulatory and compliance teams.
  • Experience in business development and stakeholder engagement, with a track record of identifying and executing treasury opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Client-focused with a commercial mindset, able to support business growth initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently, as the role will be based in Luxembourg or Amsterdam without an immediate local team.
  • Travel will be required as and when necessary to support business objectives and stakeholder engagement.
  • Resilient and proactive individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience with corporate clients, financial institutions, or international finance.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g., French, Dutch, German) would be advantageous.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar treasury or banking role.
  • Hold or be studying for a relevant financial services qualification in line with local regulatory requirements.
