Assistant Manager – ESG Services

Purpose of Job

As the Assistant Manager, Consultancy and Reporting, you will help deliver the broad consultancy ESG Services as delivered to JTC clients. You will be responsible for initial carbon footprint calculations, writing and delivering ESG related training, responding to all client queries and requests, adherence to policies, procedures and outperformance of client service delivery.

Essential Requirements
  • The role requires someone with ESG related reporting / framework and policy experience ideally in a client facing role within an ESG consultancy or similar business, or within an asset management business
  • Passionate about ESG, ideally with direct experience of strategy formation, policy implementation and reporting
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience of working with and managing relevant external relationships
  • Knowledge of Carbon Neutrality process, including Green House Gas Protocol
Main Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver client engagements including:
    –  Consultancy – training/ policy writing and carbon neutrality
    –  Transparency reporting – independent portfolio reviews
  • Work with external parties, such as Carbon Footprint and third party data providers
  • Identify new consultancy aligned opportunities to explore as the market grows and matures
  • Work with direct line manager to review and implement efficiencies and revenue growth by offering these service lines.
  • Respond to all client queries and requests received via telephone, or email effectively and accurately while delivering exceptional client service.
  • Work with Clients to gather information, document support and calculate the accurate calculation of their carbon footprint using applicable best practice methodology.
  • Instruct workflow with carbon auditors, revising calculation as needed and then working together until ultimately conclusion of footprint approval.
  • Act as an intermediary between Carbon Auditor and Client to prompt and record any carbon credit offsets, leading to successful issuance of Carbon Neutral and applicable certifications as issued for the Client use.
  • Work with clients to scope, schedule and deliver general ESG related training requirements.
  • Work with clients to scope, schedule and deliver ESG Policy related requests.
  • Work with clients to scope report requirements and check coverage with third party data provider before completing the report to the standard expected for client delivery.
  • Support ESG Services team to ensure workflow remains on track.
  • Drive efficiencies and risk-reduction initiatives within the system and processes. .
  • Train new team members as required.
  • Ensure that all JTC training, policies and procedures are adhered to and guarantee efficient and prompt query resolution.
  • Actively participate in team initiatives such as procedure documentation and system testing.
  • Adhere to all JTC Risk & Associate Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and legislation.
  • Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.
