Senior Manager – Finance

ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

The role holder will oversee all financial aspects of the Channel Islands businesses, including the delivery of monthly financial reports, business partnering support for divisions and company boards, the preparation of financial statements, management of financial corporate governance requirements, and the leadership and development of the Channel Islands Financial Controllers team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Ensure the delivery of timely and accurate monthly financial reporting.
  • Conduct periodic Net Investment review meetings with client-facing teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
  • Liaise with auditors on accounting queries and ensure audit deliverables are satisfied.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage financial controls in accordance with company procedures.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to support divisions.
  • Provide financial support and attend board meetings.
  • Lead and manage the team, supporting growth and development.
  • Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
  • Adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviours.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a professional Accountancy qualification with 5 years+ PQE.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic business environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
