Accounts Assistant – Private Client

ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

To perform allocated tasks efficiently and to a high standard on the more complex areas of work. To assist the Assistant Manager and Senior Manager to ensure team delivers the required services. To work independently on tasks and be able to self-manage own workload and support the Assistant Manager and Senior Manager on managing the workload of the team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Extract and download the fund/bank statements from various third-party service providers within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in key systems, including fund and bank statements as well as investor notices, for a portfolio of clients.
• Perform portfolio valuations to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to the client.
• Prepare Financial Statement Templates and carry out the bookkeeping screening process as required.
• Monitor the company mailbox and ensure that all queries are handled promptly.
• Promptly address and resolve queries, collaborating with team members or clients to ensure issues are settled within the required timeframes.
• Provide support to the Assistant Manager and Senior Manager.
• Ensure strict adherence to all operational guidelines, policies, procedures, and controls.
• Adhere to JTC core values and expected standards of behaviour.
• Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent) or a college degree (accounting, business, mathematics, finance or economics degree preferred but not essential).
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good numeracy.
• Good IT skills – working experience of Excel is essential.
• 1-2 years industry experience.
