Mark joined JTC in 2015 and has been working in the Funds industry since 2000.
Mark heads up our Jersey funds team and has a wealth of experience in building efficient procedures and controls in the administration of all Jersey fund types, ranging from private structures through to retail funds.
Mark also helped establish and now leads JTC’s global FinTech strategy and has played an integral role in a number of cutting edge FinTech structures including CoinShares Fund, the world’s first crypto denominated fund, Jersey’s first initial coin offerings, and Binance Jersey, the first fiat-to-cryptocurrency exchange to operate in Jersey.
Prior to joining JTC, Mark was Head of Funds for a boutique fiduciary services business, and has previously worked in senior positions for global institutional fund administration businesses based in the Channel Islands.
Mark acts as a director to a number of funds and management company vehicles within his client portfolio covering a wide range of asset classes including FinTech, real estate, private equity & venture capital, fund of funds, traditional, collectibles and other esoteric asset types.
In 2006 Mark took an academic sabbatical to complete a MSc in Corporate Governance at Bournemouth University and served in the Royal Navy before entering the financial services industry.
Mark is a committee member of the Jersey Funds Association and one of the founding members of Jersey’s Digital Asset Working Group.
Most recently, Mark completed the Oxford Fintech Programme at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. This course has not only strengthened his skills within the fintech sector, but it has given him valuable insights into how current market factors are shaping financial innovation, regulation, competition trends and the environment.
