JTC Luxembourg Supports Amaggi on US$750 Million Debut Sustainability Bond Issuance

JTC has supported AMAGGI on its offering of US$750 million aggregate principal amount of 5.250% notes due 2028. This debut cross-border bond issuance by AMAGGI was structured as a sustainability bond.

JTC’s team in Luxembourg has provided administration and management support of their issuance vehicle and has been working closely with the AMAGGI team.

The net proceeds of this offering will be invested to finance a low carbon economy through projects in line with the company’s Socio-Environmental Policy and Global Sustainability Positioning, as well as with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These sustainable project categories include renewable energy, natural resources, climate change mitigation, and food security, among others.

AMAGGI is the largest Brazilian grain and fibre company, recognised for its socio-environmental commitment.

Joost Mees, Managing Director – Head of Luxembourg, said:

“We are delighted to support AMAGGI with domiciliation, directorship and ongoing administration services. Our work with AMAGGI further demonstrates our expertise in these services and our ability to support global clients. Luxembourg is clearly open for business in the sustainability space and it is great to be involved in this project that is aligned with JTC’s sustainability values.”

JTC opened an office in Luxembourg in 2009 to provide a European centre for fund and corporate services.

Our Luxembourg office focuses on the incorporation, domiciliation, fund administration and accounting of AIFs (including SICARs and SIFs), unregulated funds, securitisation structures, UCIs and SPVs.
