Associate Director – Business Development & Marketing

ROLE OVERVIEW 

PURPOSE OF JOB

This is a key role within the private client services (PCS) marketing and business development team.  The role will involve planning, leadership and project management while working closely with senior business leaders to support the division’s growth objectives. 

This is a global role, working across all of JTC’s PCS locations, including developing and maximising opportunities in the Middle East and Asia regions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Coordinating all communications, marketing and business development aspects of PCS projects, including business acquisitions.
  • Oversight of the division’s presentations, proposals and external communications, as well as ensuring the team keeps Salesforce up to date and processes are adhered to.
  • Management of employees, ensuring their adherence to their contractual obligations and according to Group standards and policy (attendance at monthly division meetings, recruitment, appraisals, reviews, discipline, training, development, all with defined guideline/timescales).
  • Responsibility for supporting marketing and growth activities in Asia and the Middle East regions initially, with potential oversight of further regions in the future.
  • Activities should include supporting the business to identify target audiences (potential referrers of work) and reaching them through content campaigns, digital and traditional marketing methods.
  • Budget management for projects and regions within remit.
  • Writing of reports and plans as required.
  • Any other tasks to support the head of business development and marketing for PCS.
  • Adhering to the JTC core values and guiding principles.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by management.
  • Responsible for contributing to the PCS marketing and business development strategy, planning and budgeting cycles.
  • Uphold the Group’s policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed.
  • Undertake any other duties as required.
  • Adhere to Risk & Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience in marketing/business development roles – preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (excellent written and verbal English).
  • Experience in managing multiple projects, deadlines and senior stakeholders.
  • Line management experience.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIM) an advantage.
  • Adept in the use of MS Office, in particular Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
  • Comfortable in the use of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), or displaying an ability to learn.
  • Comfortable in the use of website CMS systems, social media platforms, proposal systems and other relevant marketing-related IT systems, or a willingness to learn.
