Matthew Carter

Director - Employer Solutions Jersey 

Matt joined JTC in 2021 as part of the acquisition of RBC cees.

Matt is part of a team of Trust & Client Relationship Managers, which oversee a portfolio of Corporate and Family Office Clients. He is responsible for day to day relationship management, including carrying out corporate and administration duties.

He was previously a key member of the JTC Employer Solutions Share Trust Team based in Jersey, which specialises in the trusteeship of employee benefit trusts that are operated in conjunction with equity Incentives. Previous to that he lead three operational teams responsible for reviewing, executing and controlling investment transactions on behalf of pension plans, employee benefit trusts and other deferred compensation plans.

Matt joined Abacus Financial Services Group in 2003, working in Corporate Services until Abacus was acquired by RBC in 2005, at which point RBC cees was established.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Governance Professional (FCG)
  • Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA)
  • CGI Certificate in Employee Share Plans
  • BA (Hons) Business Studies

In Their Spare Time

Matt enjoys golf, running and cycling and completed the Jersey Triathlon in 2017. He also enjoys raising money for charity, including skydiving, climbing Kilimanjaro in 2015 and assisting in building a hospital in Uganda in 2014, as part of an overseas aid trip.
