ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide support in the co-ordination of internal structure, planning, processes, and systems of the division to ensure an efficient and effective working environment to enable the division to achieve/ exceed its Key Performance Indicators and targets.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Act as an ICS Operations point of contact and local Operations Manager in ICS Cayman, supporting ICS Ops Senior Leadership team.
- Assess and define ICS Cayman operational needs in coordination with the ICS leadership and ICS Operations team in Jersey and other relevant locations.
- Roll-out and project manage operational projects and Group Ops initiatives in the Cayman office.
- Support the ICS leadership to maintain operational governance frameworks, reporting and controls.
- Support the ICS team with local day-to-day operations.
- Work closely with the senior members of the ICS Operations team to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the division’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success, including monitoring, advising and managing improvement projects on overall local efficiency of systems and processes.
- Support and coordinate data quality and data governance initiatives within the ICS Cayman office, working with teams to improve data accuracy, consistency, controls and reporting, and to identify and remediate data-related operational risks.
- Foster strong relationships with all ICS jurisdictional heads, service line heads, performance enhancing leads and operational counterparts in other divisions to ensure consistency of approach, sharing of key knowledge and minimising duplication.
- Taking a Managing role in overseeing JTC’s Project Governance Framework.
- Enhance, refine, and maintain a robust project governance framework.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate regular audits of the project governance framework and feedback as necessary.
- Oversee, manage, and implement projects as requested. Where required, support the implementation of the transformational change program (TCP).
- Take a supporting role in the division’s operational integration of the Special Situations business and to ensure consistent practice, working closely with other operational departments including, but not limited to, HR, IT, Premises, Legal, Data Privacy, Finance and BD & Marketing.
- Oversee local facilities and premises operations for the Cayman office, liaising with Group Premises and third-party providers to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient working environment and to support facilities-related projects in line with Group standards.
- Uphold the Group’s policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed.
- Adhere to JTC core values and guiding principles.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related discipline.
- Accounting qualification (qualified or studying towards) is desirable.
- Experience with REEFS and CIMA registrations and regulatory filings.
- Demonstratable experience working within Financial Services.
- Working knowledge of CORIS, CAPS and EDMS.
- Working knowledge of Viewpoint preferred.
