Associate Director – Finance Operations

ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Associate Director will be responsible for a management of the team responsible for the sales ledger activities across various Channel Island / UK entities. The role will require oversight and review of high-volume processing, managing ongoing queries and deadlines, hands-on management and close collaboration with whole finance team and other departments to optimise the quality and maintain strong customer relationship. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Lead and develop the billing team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and compliance with organisational goals.
  • Oversee and optimise billing processes, including system management, accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular insights and improvements to senior management.
  • Review and approval of more complex billing requests ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to billing and drive continuous process improvement and innovation leveraging industry trends and new technologies.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships across different functions and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
