JTC was granted a licence by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) in 2021, and it opened a local office soon after.
The JTC Dubai office has been successfully growing since it was established in 2018, and the addition of Abu Dhabi demonstrated JTC’s strong commitment to the Middle East and to offering globally-based clients a comprehensive suite of services. It has long been a popular jurisdiction in the financial industry and so, with increasing demand from clients, it was natural that Abu Dhabi would be on the list for JTC expansion.
The Abu Dhabi team, led by Head of UAE, Alia Haskouri, has already built a strong reputation within the ADGM. In its first year, the team has worked with private clients as well as known UAE brands, demonstrating that JTC is already one of the ‘go to’ professional services companies in the region. Established families within the ADGM are also now recognising the benefits of working with local service providers instead of seeking to outsource to other regions as may have previously been the case.
One year on and JTC’s presence in the Middle East is not slowing down. The benefits of operating within the financial free zone of the ADGM mean that the team is equipped to provide a wide range of corporate services to our international clients and intermediaries, including Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and company formation (registered office and corporation). Other services offered by the Abu Dhabi team within our corporate and private client sectors also cover the following:
- Payroll & HR
- Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Domiciliation, Directorship & Management
- Private Office
- Accounting & Reporting
- Corporate Services
- Entity Formation & Administration
- Private Equity
Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) are a particularly thriving structure in the UAE. An SPV is a subsidiary company that is created to undertake a specific business purpose or activity and is a popular means of isolating financial risk. Our team has the necessary expertise to advise and assist clients in establishing SPVs. We will be explaining SPVs in more detail in a future article.
Head of UAE, Alia Haskouri, has oversight of the entire JTC MENA region and has witnessed the growth and success of the Abu Dhabi office since its establishment in 2021.
“For the past few years the UAE team and I have been honoured to work on developing JTC’s presence in the Middle East. The quality and breadth of service to clients has improved further since we established the Abu Dhabi office. It is an exciting venture, and the ADGM is the perfect environment to continue building our reputation in both the private client and corporate space.”
To mark this successful year in Abu Dhabi, we have developed a spotlight series, which will focus on:
- The benefits of working within the ADGM
- Abu Dhabi and Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) services
These articles will be shared over the next few weeks, and we will wrap-up with a ‘Meet the Team’ with our JTC Abu Dhabi experts.
In the meantime, if you would like to find out more about how the Abu Dhabi team could help you, please get in touch with Alia Haskouri.
