Senior Administrator – Payroll

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, support compliance with federal and state regulations, and provide insightful reporting to internal stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in maintaining payroll integrity and enhancing the employee experience. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Process bi-weekly U.S. payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. 
  • Assisting the Payroll Manager with the preparation of monthly international payrolls for multiple countries, ensuring timely, and accurate payments.  
  • Review time and attendance data, deductions, benefits, and compensation changes as part of the review payroll cycle, prior to committing payrolls for each location.  
  • Audit payroll reports to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in a timely manner. 
  • Support the Payroll Manager with reconciliation of payroll accounts, tax filings, and other related reports, as requested.  
  • Support end-of-year processes including W-2 and tax statement preparation. 
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements. 
  • Partner with the wider HR team and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy across systems. 
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, or deductions with professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and system enhancements to optimize payroll operations. 
  • Stay current with payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements. 
  • Act as a point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing professional and clear responses. Responsible for the administration of the payroll inbox.  
  • Maintain accuracy when handling data and ensure that the integrity of processes is maintained. Ensuring the highest standard of confidentiality and security in terms of employee data and business information on all activities undertaken. 
  • Developing self and maintaining knowledge in relevant field at all times. 
  • Adhere to Risk & Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours. 
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management. 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Previous payroll processing experience in a mid-sized, multi-state corporate environment. International payroll processing experience a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and tax laws. 
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP WFN, or similar). 
  • Advanced Excel skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
