Guernsey is a well-established fund domicile and an international finance centre which works for many institutional wealth managers, providing stability and security for a global suite of clients.

Guernsey specialises in a variety of areas including banking, insurance and funds, as well as trust and company services. It is a world-leading location in which to conduct investment fund business and in particular alternative investments with over five decades of experience in dealing with a variety of asset classes.

Guernsey has been on the OECD’s ‘White List’ of approved jurisdictions since 2009 and has signed up to a series of tax information exchange agreements (TIEAs).

JTC opened an office in Guernsey in 2011 and is a leading provider of both institutional and private client services from this jurisdiction.

We have proven track record of over 20 years in providing incorporation, fund administration, accountancy and director services, enabling us to effectively service the needs of fund managers and the fund community. JTC is recognised as a leading pan-Channel Islands fund administrator.

In addition to the specialist fund services and associated expertise offered by our Guernsey office, we also offer a comprehensive range of private client services. These include trust administration and accountancy, foundations, private trust companies, succession planning, family office and tax compliance.

As a non-EU AIFM, JTC Global AIFM Solutions Limited in Guernsey provides AIFM services to a range of AIFs.

The advantage of our Guernsey AIFM is that we have the ability of opting in or out of the AIFMD, depending on where our client AIFs are marketed, a flexibility which is potentially attractive to non-European promoters with non-European investor bases.

In addition, as a jurisdiction, Guernsey has been granted an equivalence ruling by the EU, which the UK does not yet have, giving promoters certainty regarding the long-term marketability of their AIFs into the EEA.
