JTC Private Office partners with Sotheby’s for ‘Christmas View’ Old Masters Celebration

6th Dec 2019
On Monday 2 December, JTC Private Office was delighted to partner exclusively with Sotheby’s for its ‘Christmas View’ exhibition of the Old Masters Collection.

One year after its official launch in London, JTC Private Office treated guests to a champagne welcome and a private introduction to the Old Masters sale highlights, hosted by Chloe Stead, Deputy Director, Specialist Old Master Paintings and George Gordon, Co-Chairman of Sotheby’s Worldwide Old Master Paintings and Drawings Department.

Rebecca Bettany, Director – JTC Private Office, who looks after the UK and Channel Islands region, commented:  “Having partnered with Sotheby’s for our Geneva Launch in June it was fantastic to strengthen that relationship even further in 2019. With my focus being on the UK and Channel Islands, it was a great opportunity to catch up with current clients, spend time with our key contacts and forge new friendships. We look forward to working with Sotheby’s again in the near future.”

Matthias Belz, Head of JTC Private Office commented: “It was a pleasure to welcome our guests to such a beautiful setting and to spend time with the Sotheby’s Old Masters’ specialists. JTC Private Office officially launched in November 2018, and this partnership with Sotheby’s gave our clients a truly unique experience.”

Following the private viewing, 700 of Sotheby’s guests explored the gallery during a two hour cocktail reception. The highlight of the exhibition was the Francisco de Zurbarán’s Christ on the Cross, an extremely powerful and moving piece of art.
