Ruth joined JTC Law in 2025, as Head of Investment Funds, Corporate and Regulatory – Cayman Islands, expanding the firm’s global footprint.
With over 20 years of legal experience, Ruth has a broad practice advising on all aspects of corporate, regulatory and investment fund related matters.
Ruth regularly advises clients on a wide range of corporate structuring and reorganizations, joint ventures and governance matters together with the structuring, establishment and maintenance of private equity funds and hedge funds. Ruth has an extensive experience advising on a wide range of regulatory matters including FATCA, CRS, beneficial ownership and economic substance regimes, anti-money laundering and terrorist financing, sanctions, and data protection.
In addition, Ruth has experience advising on regulatory licensing laws, having assisted clients with the licensing and ongoing regulatory requirements for captives and other insurance vehicles, investment management and advisory firms, corporate service providers and banks.
Ruth is an associate member of the chartered insurance institute (ACII) and a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS).
Ruth joined JTC Law in the Cayman Islands in 2025, having previously worked as a Partner and Global Head of Knowledge Management at leading offshore law firms and most recently as Regional General Counsel to a big four accounting firm. Prior to Ruth’s move to the Cayman Islands, Ruth worked at Clifford Chance, London.
