Niklas Downham

Highlights

He has over 20 years’ experience within the financial industry with a strong background in Operational Due Diligence (ODD) and is currently based in Geneva.

As a Senior ODD Consultant, Nik is responsible for the professional assessment of non-investment risks inherent in asset managers and funds on behalf of his clients. He specialises in funds investing in crypto and digital assets.

Prior to JTC, he worked for JPMorgan’s Investments and Research team, where he performed ODD for the company’s global investment platform, which included long-only, hedge funds and private equity.

Nik also worked for the Bank of England in the team responsible for providing emergency liquidity to the UK banking sector during the global financial crisis and its aftermath.

He started his career in financial services as an analyst issuing ratings on new structured finance transactions.

Nik likes to zoom down mountains on his skis trying to keep up with his young daughter.
