16th Apr 2020

Two JTC assistant managers have been shortlisted in Jersey Finance’s inaugural ‘Rising Stars’ awards 2020, which takes place on Friday 13 November at La Mare Wine Estate, Jersey.

Alex Le Turgeon, Assistant Manager – Group Information Systems, and Chris Carter, Assistant Manager – Risk and Compliance, have both been nominated for their expertise and outstanding service offering in their respective business areas.

Alex, who has been shortlisted in the Digital category, has been with JTC since 2015. He manages a number of complex IT systems integral to the efficiency of JTC’s network, which is used by around 800 people in 21 international offices.

Adam Jeffries, Group Chief Information Officer, who nominated Alex, said:

“Alex is what we would refer to as a model ‘JTC employee’ and provides an exceptionally high level of ‘above and beyond’ service, something which JTC prides itself on. Alex really does deliver on all fronts – he has in-depth technical knowledge, communication skills, reliability all underpinned by his ‘can do’ attitude which, together, make him a stand-out member of our global IT team.”

Chris, who is shortlisted in the Compliance category, began his career at JTC in 2014. With strong regulatory and technical experience, Chris has a particular expertise in funds and fintech. He works closely with client fund boards, service providers and senior JTC Risk and Compliance management in the provision of guidance for diverse asset class structures and Fintech start-up ventures.

Chris’ nominator George Kellogg III, Director – Risk and Compliance ICS, said:

“Chris very much embodies JTC’s ethos of ‘Stronger Together’ and has clearly worked hard to maximise his potential. Whilst possessing high technical acumen in compliance, regulations and technology, Chris is driven to consistently deliver for the business and JTC’s clients both in complex and the often-overlooked routine matters. He is reliable and takes a selfless approach to strengthening our compliance team and larger client service offering.”
