Paul Fosse, Group Head of Banking & Treasury, has been shortlisted in the “Leadership” category at the annual Jersey TechAwards organised by Digital Jersey.
Now in its sixth year, the awards recognise the high-calibre talent across Jersey’s diverse digital sector while showcasing the innovative use of technology in the non-digital sectors of the economy.
Paul was nominated for the award by HSBC as, under his leadership, the Banking & Treasury team at JTC have pioneered a Virtual Account solution for corporate service providers in the offshore space.
The Virtual Account project saw a strategic partnership with HSBC to reengineer its technology and tailor the HSBC virtual account solution to cater to JTC’s clients’ specific needs. The creative approach, created in Jersey, proved his vision and ability to navigate and implement innovative solutions in a complex industry. The approach helps to streamline the account opening process from a waiting period of up to 12 weeks to the same business day, marking an impressive 92% reduction in processing time compared to traditional bank accounts.
When Paul joined JTC, he was assigned the responsibility of collaborating with the Commercial Office to develop the ‘Future of Banking Strategy’. This initiative aimed to standardise approaches, deliver electronic efficiencies thereby enhancing the experience for JTC clients. By integrating traditional methods with a heightened emphasis on technology and automation, the objective was to benefit both clients and the wider Group.
Paul has a passion for crafting thought-provoking leadership articles and talking at industry events which advance Jersey’s financial services industry and technological prowess.
