May joined JTC as a non-executive director in December 2024. Her career spans over three decades in financial services, including banking, insurance, and asset management. May holds an MBA from Liverpool Business School and has furthered her education at Harvard Business School. She started her career in the UK with Standard Life, before relocating to Asia where she gained extensive experience and assumed roles with greater responsibilities. This included being a Partner in Ernst & Young’s Financial Services division and the Managing Director for Financial Services and Head of Insurance Industry Group at Accenture, serving clients across APAC and globally. In addition, until recently she was a Senior Partner and Head, Global Financial Services for UK, based in London, at Korn Ferry Advisory. Prior to that, she was the President of their Asia Pacific business for 6 years, where she led the business and advised large global clients on organization and leadership changes and transformation.

She is a seasoned leader with international experience and has expertise in risk management, governance, strategy, leadership development, and business growth, along with her commitment to diversity and inclusion. She also serves as an Independent NED for HSBC’s global insurance business, comprising HSBC Insurance (Asia) and HSBC Life International. She is the Chair of the Board Risk Committee and a member of their With Profit & Investment Committee and Audit Committee.
