Jurgen Borgt

Highlights

Jurgen has over 25 years of experience in financial services, specialising in corporate services and capital markets across the Netherlands, Curaçao, Luxembourg and Switzerland. He also has managed private client services work.

After starting his career in law in the Netherlands, Jurgen spent several years at another prominent financial services firm in Curaçao, looking after client portfolios spanning the Netherlands Antilles, Aruba and the British Virgin Islands. He was subsequently transferred to Luxembourg where his work was focussed in capital markets. Jurgen’s next move took him to Switzerland, undertaking the role of Director of Client Services, leading post-merger integrations, opening a greenfield Zurich office and implementing FATCA, CRS, GDPR and ISO 27001 across the Swiss organisation. Most recently, Jurgen led as Managing Director of a corporate and capital markets service provider, overseeing offices in Geneva, Zug and Zurich.

Jurgen is a member of the Swiss Board Institute, the International Bar Association (IBA) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

Jurgen is also fluent in Dutch, English and French; he has a working knowledge of German and Spanish.

In their spare time

When not at his desk, Jurgen can be found with his head in an enjoyable book or admiring classic cars as a devoted enthusiast of ‘old timers’.
