Independent service provider JTC has been recognised for its private client services expertise by being shortlisted in the 2016 WealthBriefing European Awards.
JTC was named as a finalist in the ‘Independent Trust or Fiduciary Company’ category of the awards, which are now in their fourth year and are designed to showcase ‘best of breed’ providers in the global private banking, wealth management and trusted advisor communities.
Organised by the publisher of WealthBriefing, Clearview Financial Media, the awards recognise companies, teams and individuals, with eventual winners being selected by a panel of judges for demonstrating innovation and excellence during 2015. Winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner at The Guildhall in London on 19 May, which usually attracts around 500 senior wealth management professionals.
ClearView Financial Media’s Chief Executive and Publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, extended his congratulations to the shortlisted firms, saying: “The firms who have been shortlisted in these awards are all worthy competitors and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations. These awards recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process – such that the awards truly reflect excellence in wealth management.”
2015 was a successful year for JTC, during which it witnessed its 27th consecutive year of growth, including significant growth specifically within its private client services division. In particular, the firm was granted new licenses in Malta and Mauritius to provide private client services and bolstered its presence in Guernsey, Luxembourg and South Africa.
Commenting on the shortlisting, Iain Johns, Group Head of Private Client Services, added: “We saw real growth in our private client services offering last year as we continued to extend our global reach. Our European offering is now particularly strong, with new licenses in Malta and a well-established team in Switzerland, complementing our Channel Islands operations. Against that backdrop, it is welcome news and a reflection of the team’s combined international private client expertise that we have been shortlisted in the WealthBriefing Awards.”
