JTC expands senior management team with US and UK appointments

22nd Mar 2018

JTC is delighted to announce we have recently made two senior appointments in the US and UK as we continue to bolster our global Institutional Client Services (ICS) team.

Based in Miami and New York primarily, Wouter Plantenga joins as Head of Group Client Services within JTC’s ICS division, whilst Jonathan Jennings joins as Managing Director – UK, based in London. Both Wouter and Jonathan will sit on JTC’s ICS Global board.

In his new role, Wouter will lead JTC’s expansion in the ICS arena, working with the existing team and building upon JTC’s US strategy.

Wouter has nearly 20 years’ experience, the majority of this time being in the US, in cross-border and transatlantic financial services with extensive knowledge of the North American market. He comes to JTC from his previous role as Managing Director of Intertrust United States, where he worked for five years.

Meanwhile, Jonathan will play a key role in continuing to build JTC’s reputation and service capability across the UK from its London office. As well as taking on responsibility for generating new UK institutional business, he will also provide leadership in ensuring consistently high standards of service to existing and potential clients.

Jonathan is an experienced financial services professional with a career spanning more than two decades. As well as having significant experience in dealing with cross-border corporate activity from the Channel Islands, Luxembourg and London, he also has an in-depth understanding of the private client market and has earned industry recognition, being named one of the UK’s 50 Most Influential Private Client Practitioners by ePrivateClient in 2016. Prior to joining JTC, Jonathan was Group CEO of Dominion Fiduciary in Jersey, and has previously held a range of senior roles at a number of well-respected firms, including Managing Director of TMF’s Luxembourg business.

Tony Whitney, Group Head of Institutional Client Services, welcomed Wouter and Jonathan to JTC:

“Both Wouter and Jonathan will be key assets to JTC as we continue to build our presence and extend our footprint into major international markets. We are projecting strong future growth across our corporate, real estate and fund service business lines and the US and the UK are absolutely pivotal strategic markets for us in these areas. The experience, expertise and leadership qualities Wouter and Jonathan possess are instrumental in strengthening our international reputation and helping to differentiate us on the global stage.”
