Senior Trust & Accounting Officer – Special Situations
ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
The Senior Trust and Accounting Officer is responsible for managing and administering trust structures, preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with legal and fiduciary obligations with the support of the case leader.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Day to day administration of a portfolio of trust structures and related corporate entities including client communications and case management with support of case leader.
- Drafting resolutions and agreements.
- Preparation of financial statements for complex corporate structures.
- Preparation and review of tax and regulatory reporting information.
- Managing banking and other third-party activities.
- Manage filing and documentation.
- Review and maintenance of statutory documentation.
- Monitoring of billing and fee payments.
- Liaising with third parties including legal and tax advisors.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Professional qualification from internationally recognised accounting body (CA, ACCA, CPA).
- STEP, ACIS, CGI, CTA etc. (preferred but not essential)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting (preferred but not essential).
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience in corporate and trust administration.
- Experience of private client services.
- Experience of international tax reporting.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of accounting software e.g. Quickbooks or similar.
- Working knowledge of Viewpoint or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and professional approach.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Able to work independently and proactively as well as be a strong team player.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours as needed.
