John Ayres

Highlights

Prior to joining JTC, John was a Managing Director for a financial services firm in Guernsey where he was responsible for all aspects involved in establishing an offshore restructuring office.

Earlier on in his career, John worked at one of the Big Four, managing all types of UK insolvency appointments. He also spent a year on secondment at a major UK bank as well as spending two years in London working on the Lehman insolvencies.

In 2010 John first moved to the British Virgin Islands with the Big Four firm, managing their office from 2011 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022 he held the role of Senior Managing Director at another business consultancy firm in the BVI prior to moving to Guernsey. Within this role, he was responsible for all aspects of offshore insolvency, managing the team and running the office.

John has particular expertise in a variety of industries including hedge funds, energy, hospitality and shipping.
