The IBDCivil
Founded on 13 November 2012 by professors Gustavo Tepedino, Luis Edson Fachin Luis Neto and Paulo Lobo, the IBDCivil aims to provide a privileged local to think, debate and build contemporary civil law in the light of constitutional legality.
Structured as an association, legal entity of private law, non-profit or political affiliation, the Brazilian Institute of Civil Law – IBDCivil wants broad national presence, without neglecting regional and state insertions, through their boards.
The event
The IV Congress of IBDCivil – International Congress of Constitutional Civil Law will be held under the theme “From dogmatics to effectiveness” on 20, 21 and October 22, 2016, in Rio de Janeiro.
History of the event
The IBDCivil has in its history great congresses being held annually, always remembered by the presence of renowned jurists. In 2015, the event was held in the city of Recife/PE, where more than 300 congressmen contemplated the most important names of Civil Law.
