As a manager in the Tax Compliance and Regulatory Reporting team, Laura is responsible for the annual tax compliance cycle for Jersey, Guernsey and UK corporation tax, and she oversees construction industry tax, VAT and Trust tax compliance.
Laura is involved in various projects, including developing a bespoke tool to help with economic substance compliance. She has also helped to implement a new Jersey tax return tool to streamline JTC’s internal processes.
Laura joined JTC in 2019. Prior to this she completed her tax training at big four accountancy firm, EY, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAS). During her four years at EY, she specialised in personal tax and company tax compliance. Laura qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser shortly after joining JTC in early 2020.
Laura is currently studying for her Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) qualification.
