Our Community

JTC’s shared ownership philosophy extends to the communities where our people live and work. In formal recognition of this, we have put into place a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy which covers all areas of our operations, across all locations where JTC has a presence.

Our CSR policy sets a common approach for us to follow and provides practical guidance to the teams across our locations in conjunction with our Code of Business Ethics, to create the maximum benefit to our people and the communities that they live and work in.

Our policy concentrates on four main areas:

Safety & Security

JTC is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all its employees at work and also the security of clients.

Employment

In formulating our employment policies, we are guided by the framework established by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.  These guidelines encourage companies to foster openness, sustainability and respect for employee rights in areas such as:

Environment

We recognise the environmental issues arising from our business activities and are committed to minimising, where possible, any direct impacts arising from such activities.

Client & Community

JTC encourages initiatives which very much embody the core CSR principle of giving something back to the local communities in which we successfully operate, whether by way of time, effort or a financial contribution.  We look to actively encourage activities such as:

  • Promoting engagement between our teams and the community in supporting employees’ own fund raising efforts where possible
  • Improving the environment in and around our operations
  • Promoting broader opportunities for workplace learning
  • Supporting local initiatives for the development and education of young people in the areas we serve
