ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
The student will assist with routine accounting tasks and activities to support the efficient operation of the Finance Department. This position is supervised by the Senior Administrator / Assistant Manager and Manager.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Gain an understanding of how JTC’s Finance Department operates and enhances business value.
- Shadow the placement manager to gain exposure to a range of accounting duties essential for achieving the departments’ key deliverables.
- Learn and participate in various simple processes across different Finance teams.
- Complete tasks assigned by supervisors including conducting research, performing analysis, updating spreadsheets, attending meetings and other administrative duties.
- Liaise with key business stakeholders under the supervision of more senior team members.
- Adhere to JTC’s core values and expected behaviours.
- Undertake any additional duties as deemed necessary by Management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Completing A’ Levels or BTEC studies with a strong interest in pursuing a career in Finance.
- Availability to work over a 6–8-week period during the Summer Vacation.
- For those intending to study at university, a demonstrated interest in returning for further work during holiday periods.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive and helpful attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
