Purpose of Job

As the ESG Senior Manager you will help deliver ESG Services to JTC clients in line with relevant standards as required.
You will be responsible for engaging with clients, scheduling workflow and delivering work to the required standard. Adherence to JTC and departmental policies, procedures and outperformance of client service delivery is expected.

Essential Requirements
  • Audit/ Assurance experience delivering ISAE 3000 engagements in the UK market, ideally with some direct exposure to the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of ESG related frameworks is advantageous, but not essential
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience of working with and managing relevant external relationships
  • Post qualified relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CFA, ICAEW or equivalent.)
  • Hold membership to a professional accountancy body
Main Responsibilities and Duties
  • Support direct line manager and Directors to evolve service offering, seeking new opportunities and marketing ideas to expand esg service offering.
  • Work with direct line manager to review and implement efficiencies and revenue growth by offering these service lines
  • Respond to all client queries and requests received via telephone, or email effectively and accurately while delivering exceptional client service.
  • Deliver client engagements including:
    – Consultancy – training/ policy writing and carbon neutrality
    – ESG reporting capturing client requirements
  • Develop and deliver ESG aligned assurance engagements, to appropriate standards:
    – Complete ISAE 3000 Limited Assurance Reports
    – UNPRI Transparency Reporting independent assurance reviews
    – Complete other controls reviews/ assurance engagements to the scope required
  • Work with external parties, such as Carbon Footprint and third party data providers
  • Work with Clients to gather information, document support and calculate the accurate calculation of their carbon footprint using applicable best practice methodology.
  • Instruct workflow with carbon auditors, revising calculation as needed and then working together until ultimately conclusion of footprint approval.
  • Act as an intermediary between Carbon Auditor and Client to prompt and record any carbon credit offsets, leading to successful issuance of Carbon Neutral and applicable certifications as issued for the Client use.
  • Drive efficiencies and risk-reduction initiatives within the system and processes. .
  • Actively participate in team initiatives such as procedure documentation and system testing.
  • Train new team members as required.
  • Deliver services aligned to JTC’s ESG Strategy.
  • Maintain good standing with accountancy body via professional membership and be responsible for ensuring the JTC group obtain and maintain appropriate practicing certificates.
  • Set up Assurance controls, process and templates as required in line with ISAE 3000 and other assurance standards as applicable or relevant to the engagement.
  • Adhere to new business and workflow protocols; including all internal approval before commencement of work
  • Ensure and maintain good standing with assurance related trade bodies and professional organisations as required
  • Ensure that all JTC training, policies and procedures are adhered to and guarantee efficient and prompt query resolution.
  • Adhere to all JTC Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and legislation.
