Manager/ Senior Manager – ESG Services (Assurance)

Purpose of job

As the ESG Assurance professional, you will help deliver the Assurance related ESG Services to JTC clients in line with assurance standards as required.
You will be responsible for engaging with clients, scheduling workflow, scoping and delivering the assurance engagement throughout the process until engagement completion. Adherence to JTC and departmental policies, procedures and outperformance of client service delivery is expected.

Essential Requirements
  • Audit/ Assurance experience delivering ISAE 3000 engagements in the UK market, ideally with some direct exposure to the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of ESG related frameworks is advantageous, but not essential
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience of working with and managing relevant external relationships
  • Post qualified relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CFA, ICAEW or Pequivalent.)
  • Hold membership to a professional accountancy body
Main Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and deliver ESG aligned assurance engagements, to appropriate standards:
  • Deliver services aligned to JTC’s ESG Strategy.
  • Identify new assurance engagement requirements within the market and new opportunities to explore and expand this service offering with the JTC client base.
  • Maintain good standing with accountancy body via professional membership and be responsible for ensuring the JTC group obtain and maintain appropriate practicing certificates.
  • Respond to all client queries and requests received via telephone, or email effectively and accurately while delivering exceptional client service.
  • Set up Assurance controls, process and templates as required in line with ISAE 3000 and other assurance standards as applicable or relevant to the engagement.
  • Adhere to new business and workflow protocols; including all internal approval before commencement of work.
  • Ensure and maintain good standing with assurance related trade bodies and professional organisations as required.
  • Support direct line manager and Directors to evolve service offering, seeking new opportunities and marketing ideas to expand the assurance service offering.
  • Drive efficiencies and risk-reduction initiatives within the system and processes. .
  • Train new team members as required.
  • Ensure that all JTC training, policies and procedures are adhered to and guarantee efficient and prompt query resolution.
  • Actively participate in team initiatives such as procedure documentation and system testing.
  • Adhere to all JTC Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and legislation.
