Purpose of Job

The role reports into a Director within a team of people and sits within Jersey.

The role holder will manage a team of five people and oversee the administration and service delivery to a high value client portfolio under the supervision of the Director.

Main Responsibilities and Duties
  • To be responsible for the management and monitoring of service delivery by an administration team within the Corporate Services division at JTC who administer a dynamic, fast paced portfolio with a high value aggregate revenue
  • Direct involvement in the administration of high value or complex clients within the portfolio within the timescales set and agreed, investigating and suggesting enhancements where necessary, ensuring timely and effective client care.
  • Ensure a prompt and professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries both by the individual and by the team
  • Manage the teams billing and cash collection / debtors process, have a strong awareness of recoverability and work in an efficient manner to achieve an acceptable recovery for the business
  • To demonstrate a clear understanding of each clients within the portfolio including risk awareness, relationship management and contractual and statutory regulations
  • Review client structures, completing review process for client entities, demonstrate risk awareness and mitigate exposure, including the fulfilment of responsibilities under the review procedures
  • Awareness and adherence to contractual and statutory obligations under the Group’s policies, procedures and guidelines, including the Group’s core values and expected behaviours, acting as a guide in this respect to members of the team
  • Attendance at management meetings, presenting management information to immediate team and advising of priorities etc
  • Review legal and tax advice where appropriate and be able to interpret /implement relevant advice as required
  • Through effective management of the team providing service delivery ensure existing clients are satisfied with the serviced level
  • Management and training of members of the team, conducting appraisals and performance management reviews
  • Check, delegate and monitor work of team members
  • Promote the range of services the Group can provide to existing clients within the portfolio and identify and support the team director with any new business opportunities
  • Deputise in the absence of other senior members of the team/department
  • Adhere to Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management

  • External auditors for own and team clients
Essential Requirements
  • Experience managing and mentoring people
  • A strong team player who can motivate a team and lead by example
  • Articulate with professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and team management skills
  • Attention to detail & problem solving skills
  • At least five years’ experience in a relevant client facing role
  • Professionally qualified (ICSA/ACCA or equivalent)
