JTC Fund Solutions (Ireland) Limited is a newly formed company and is currently seeking regulatory authorisation. As a JTC Centre of Excellence, the company will provide a full suite of fund administration services to closed ended, limited liquidity and hedge fund vehicles on site.

The Director Fund Accounting of JTC Fund Solutions (Ireland) Limited will be a key member of the local senior management team and as a member of that team that will play a lead role in the strategic build out, business development and cultural evolution of the office.

Purpose of Job

Leading by example and living up to our corporate values, the successful candidate will lead the Fund Accounting business line across all alternative asset classes, coordinating the Fund Accounting client service, taking responsibility for assigned deadline management and the overall quality of deliverables to support the business. They will assist in driving the business forward whilst supporting new business opportunities in conjunction with the business development team and local senior management. They will participate in local and global initiatives around optimization, efficiency and automation, covering Fund Accounting and associated services where experience may lend itself. They will work collaboratively and pro-actively with the other members of the senior management team to implement processes, enforce policies and procedures and abide by the Central Bank of Ireland’s fitness and probity regime as it applies to the role.

This role is a Pre-Approval Controlled Function (PCF 34) and any successful candidate will have to be approved by the Central Bank of Ireland and will be subject to its Fitness and Probity regime.

Essential Requirements
  • Significant product knowledge of alternative funds and Private Equity / Real Assets, financial instruments types, fund structures and performance fees, waterfall calculations
  • Strong systems knowledge, preferably Investran / InvestOne.
  • Degree in finance or related subject
  • Experience working within investment industry experience directly working in fund operations/administration
  • Experience of working in a Senior Leadership role
  • A dynamic leader with a track record of developing and training staff, with proven people management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong client focus gained in a regulated financial services company
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previously approved in a PCF role or currently in a CF role (or other regulators equivalent) will be advantageous
  • An ability to understand and assess area of risk within an organization and a track record of implementing new processes to manage risk
  • Practical experience of process reviews and re-engineering
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Ability to review and resolve complex issues
Main Responsibilities and Duties
  •  Responsible for the delivery of a high quality, premiere Fund Accounting service to our client base.
  • Determine appropriate processes and procedures, enhance and improve same continuously to mitigate risk and improve the client experience.
  • Actively lead and execute the process and application improvements required for client service delivery and support an on-going program of continuous improvement, identifying and escalating opportunities and implementing changes.
  • Promote communication between colleagues, ensure an open, transparent and collegiate culture is built
  • Manage and develop team members, develop succession plans, set appropriate goals and objectives for staff.
  • Regularly review staff progress against goals and objectives and all core competencies
  • Lead new client on boarding together with the Head of Transfer Agency, act as a primary point of contact,
  • Pro-actively manage key client relationships in conjunction with any appointed relationship manager
  • Act as a point of escalation for client issues, lead the resolution
  • Actively support the business development process, meet with prospective clients
  • Proactively develop a good working relationship with the executive team members and colleagues in the same business line in other jurisdictions, support global projects where impacted.
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with colleagues across various functions such as, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Finance, HR etc.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Board of Directors of JTC Fund Solutions (Ireland) Limited and any client boards, participate in and present at board meetings as necessary.
  • Promote adherence and compliance with applicable laws, service standards, company policies and procedures, agreed operational, and control processes.
  • Collaborate on medium to longer term plans for segment growth and evolution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local influencers, industry colleagues, audit firms and consultants
