Associate Director / Senior Manager – Finance

ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

The role holder will join the Financial Projects and Review Team and predominantly be responsible for developing and strengthening the internal control environment of the finance department to mitigate the risk of error. The role will also involve the delivery of projects designed to enhance the quality and timeliness of the department’s key deliverables.  

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong internal control environment as the department grows and external regulations are introduced 
  • Perform risk management to minimise potential risks 
  • Identify and recommend areas where new policies and procedures are required within the department 
  • Manage the documentation and publishing of the departments policies and procedures 
  • Oversee the monthly management accounts review process 
  • Responsible for performing Group reviews of the monthly management accounts  
  • Responsible for identifying training needs and facilitating training sessions for members of the department 
  • Work alongside other members of the Project and Review team to deliver ad-hoc projects within the department where appropriate. 
  • Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures 
  • Adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviours 
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  •  Hold a professional Accountancy qualification with preferably 5 years+ PQE.   
  • Have experience in the preparation and review of management accounts and financial statements in line with FRS102 and IFRS requirements. 
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.  
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training and support the development of junior staff. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
