ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
The job holder has responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients. The role includes reconciliations, preparation of financial reports and financial statements, and tax returns.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS for the portfolio of clients.
- Maintenance of bookkeeping and accounting records for a portfolio of clients.
- Attend to audit queries and liaise with auditors to ensure finalisation of audit within relevant deadlines.
- Reconciliation of all ledger items with supporting documents and maintaining schedules/workings.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Ensure tax filing and tax compliance for portfolio of clients.
- Proceeding with FSC Surveys and other regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to Risk & Associate Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- ACCA partly qualified (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a finance/management accounting function (experience in an audit role would be an advantage).
- IT proficient with data analytics skills, excellent Excel and communication (both written and verbal) skills, meticulous and attentive to details.
