ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
The role holder will be required to provide day to day support to the custody team, assisting with the preparation of requests for payments, processing of wire payments, monitor trade settlements and input trades for settlement under the supervision of a Line Manager. They should be able to demonstrate very good attention to detail and a clear understanding of the policies and procedures associated with the custody processes, including risk awareness and AML regulations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Prepare RFP’s in a clear and comprehensive manner for review and signing by authorised signatories.
- Ensure all World Checks and call backs to clients are completed.
- Input any payments requested by clients or teams internally ensuring high levels of attention to detail and to check that the payment details have been provide correctly and contain all the relevant details in order for the payments to be processed.
- Input any trades for settlement in the market or that have been transacted by the investment team. Check to ensure that all the trade settlement details have been provided.
- Review client structures and complete review processes for client entities, remain aware of risk exposure, including the fulfilment of responsibilities under the review procedures.
- Assist with sending out of account opening pack to new clients and collating upon return.
- Assist with the completion of VP Checklists.
- Assist with the completion of AcuReview and VP tasks.
- Awareness and adherence to contractual and statutory obligations under the Group’s policies, procedures and guidelines, including the Group’s core values and expected behaviours.
- Ensure a professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of client entities, ensuring all statutory obligations are complied with.
- Through effective administration, ensure existing clients are retained.
- Adhere to Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
- Adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviours.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Administration experience.
- High levels of attention to detail.
- Ability to collate and present information in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-motivated with a positive approach, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
