Accounts Assistant – Shared Services

ROLE OVERVIEW

Provide accounting and bookkeeping services for trusts and companies to other JTC jurisdictions.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for the maintenance of bookkeeping and assisting in the accounting for a portfolio of clients and provide assistance with projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintenance of bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of clients and other JTC group offices.
  • Maintain and reconcile appropriate schedule of investments for a portfolio of clients.
  • Maintain and update the list of properties held by client entities per jurisdiction.
  • Assist in responding to queries and liaising with auditors to ensure finalization of audit within relevant deadlines.
  • Ensuring tax filing and tax compliance for the portfolio of clients.
  • Assist in handling tax inquiries, schedule meetings with tax advisors/clients/ intermediaries, attend phone calls and subsequent follow-ups.
  • Implement agreed strategies and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Risk & Associate Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviors.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • ACCA partly qualified (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a finance/management accounting function (experience in an audit role would be an advantage).
  • Skills: IT proficient with data analytics skills, excellent Excel and communication (both written and verbal) skills, meticulous and attentive to details.
