Accountant – Corporate Services

ROLE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE OF JOB

To account for the relevant corporate entity or Fund structure within the defined deadlines and regulatory requirements. It is an accounting focused role and entails the bookkeeping and account preparation for corporate structures and/or funds.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Bookkeeping of entities’ financial transactions.
•  Preparation of ad hoc reporting such as cash flow forecasts and budgets.
• Preparation of annual financial statements mainly under UK GAAP and IFRS within deadlines.
• Timely preparation of VAT returns.
• Manage client relationships, providing quality and responsive service to clients.
• Liaise with third parties such as property managers, clients /client representatives and auditors.
• Ensure client responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed client, best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines.
• Prepare accounting files for audits and manage the audit process to ensure the completion of within deadlines and agreed costs.
• Ensuring that all tasks, reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and internal deadlines are achieved.
• Be able to provide sound, quality and technical guidance other team members and to clients.
• Monitor WIP against agreed budgets and report variances to the line-manager.
• Perform other duties to support the line- manager and team as may be necessary from time-to-time.
• Adhere to Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
• Adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviours.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Accounting qualification with minimum level 1 ACCA.
• 2-3 years Previous experience in a similar role within financial services.
• Relevant experience in a similar role in financial services would be considered.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Good technical knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS).
• High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
• Works well under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
