Robert Surcouf
Group Director - Chief Risk Officer
Robert joined JTC Group in 2010, having previously been a Director of Caversham Fiduciary Services, where he worked for 15 years both in Jersey and Dubai. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as well as a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
As Chief Risk Officer for JTC Group, he is responsible for the on-going evolution of the Group’s risk and compliance strategy and plays a leading role in the management of JTC’s risk framework. This includes the identification, monitoring and embedding of risk management practices across all JTC offices.
Robert started his professional career as an auditor and, after qualifying, he transferred to fiduciary services, firstly within a fund environment and then in private client services. He specialised in the development and implementation of bespoke fiduciary solutions across multiple jurisdictions, and has delivered a number of presentations on this subject at conferences in Europe, Asia and North America.

In their spare time..
When not spending time with his young family, Robert is a keen competitor in historic and modern motorsport. He takes part in events locally and overseas and has won the Jersey Rally Drivers Championship twice. He denies being ‘The Stig’.
